Product: Pavilion 15 n240ee
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello there. I own an HP Pavilion n240ee notebook. I have planned to upgrade my RAM. I would like to buy either an 8 GB Ram or a 16GB Ram (either ddr3 or ddr4).
Can anybody please suggest me best Ram in budget for my laptop as per the following options:
1) 8 GB DDR3
2) 16 GB DDR3
3) 8 GB DDR4
4) 16 GB DDR4
PS:Looking to buy it during the black friday sale. Expecting a quick reply. Thankyou!

Hi,
Your PC supports max 12GB of DDR3L-1600-MHz (1x4GB + 1x8GB)
So you can add a 8GB stick of DDR3L 1600Mhz Sodimm. Make sure you buy DDR3L and not DDR3 as it has lower voltage.
On page 2 of service manual you can see various configurations and on page 42 the steps to upgrade RAM:

Hope it helps,
David
