OMEN by HP - 17-an005nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed a new battery (watch photo) to my laptop (OMEN by HP - 17-an005nv) but when i plug in my adapter, the battery does not charge. Is there a possibility that my laptop needs to be reconfigured so as to recognize the new battery?

@NikosPC85 If a new battery isn't working or charging as it should, and you've already checked with an alternate power cord, adapter or another wall outlet, this could be an issue with the battery connector on the system board and the same will need a repair, that said, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

 

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
