I have Dv7t-7300 (C2Y65AV) and the battery finally died. I originally ordered it from HP brand new with 9 cell MU09 battery.
Ebay is a disaster area - some listings have 6 cell battery under the MU09 name. The first battery did not charge pass 58%, second simply did not fit (it did not even have the OEM 4-LED test bar on the back).
HP official one is out of stock http://store.hp.com/us/en/PDPStdView?storeId=10151&urlLangId=-1&productId=138247&urlRequestType=Base...
I made a mistake and trashed the original battery so I don't even have the OEM part number!
Where should I go to get the correct 9 or 12 cell battery?

Thank you for your query.
I understand that you are attempting to replace the battery for your Dv7t-7300 (C2Y65AV) but it is out of stock at the HP Store. When I checked the HP Parts store, I also did not locate one. Here is a link to the HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide. Please note chapter 3, page 27, item 18, battery for the replacement part numbers. You can then try a web search with the part number to locate one.

Thank you for your reply. Now that you have the part number, here is a link to HP Notebook PCs - Purchasing a Replacement Battery. If one is not available, try doing a web search with the part number to locate a battery.

I checked the link below an hour ago and grabbed one battery which popped up as available.
Since the link does not have my number 672412-001, could please someone confirm that this is the correct battery for me? MIne said MU09 as well alone with the general shape and 4 LED test bar on the bottom.
HP parts search finds the "672412-001", however it says that there is no functional equivalent for it... So it's either wrong MU09 I've ordered or I don't know what to think.
