OMEN by HP - 17-an146nz
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello

Just got a Gaming Laptop OMEN by HP - 17-an146nz  from a friend of mine , unfortunately he gave me without a charger (135W 19.5Vdc 6.9A)  . I have a 120 W ac adapter form my other Hp Omen but it doesn't charger it , I mean When I shut it down yes it charge the battery but when I turn it on to use it shows a  Smart Pop Up saying "Low-power power source detected" - your computer will run from battery and is not charging . Use of the original power adapter is recommended .  I checked online to buy the original one couldn't find it . I also checked for a Tybe Usb C charger but wasnt sure about that option.

So my question is Can I use one of the replacement (smart Ac) adapters   for this laptop , Usb C or maybe a docking station (not much familiar with this  option ) or any other method .

any recommendations would be appreciated

The specs of your machine is

You need 135W minimum, the Gen 1 USB type C on your machine does not support power delivery therefore you can't use USB-C charger. You can use one of the following AC adapters

  • 230 W PFC, S-3P, slim, 4.5 mm (for use with products with NVIDIA N17E (GeForce GTX 1070/GTX 1060) processors) part # 693706-001
  • 150 W PFC, Smart, slim, 4.5 mm (for use with products with NVIDIA N17P (GeForce GTX 1050/GTX 1050Ti) only) part #
    917649-850
  • 135 W PFC, Smart, slim, 4.5 mm (for use with products with NVIDIA N17P (GeForce GTX 1050) only) part # L15534-001

As you can see 2 higher wattage adapters/chargers  are for machines with higher specs video cards but you still can use them if no other choice (parts with prefix L are very hard to find).

You can order  from HP over the Tasman:

Regards.

@banhien thank you for the replay

Hmmm I can order the 150W ac adapter but not the 135w from the hp store because it shows that is not available  (I'm from France) . Will it make any difference if I use the 150W , on my 135W laptop , and is that adapter compatible with my laptop .

thank you
