Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

On Victus by HP Laptop 16-e0xxx can I install 2666Mhz CL19 DDR4 RAM instead of 3200Mhz CL22 ?

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that only DDR4-3200 MHz memory is supported.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

DDR4-2666 MHz memory will either not work at all or it will slow the notebook down quite a bit.

 

Even the older Ryzen 4xxx processors use 3200 MHz memory.

 

I wouldn't do it.
