Product: Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 (2V8U5AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a hp victus laptop, which is of 8gb ram, but it says only 4.9gb usable, I even changed the maximum memory in ms configuration, any fixes?

Hi @RedGuyz

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Since your system was shipped with integrated graphics. 

The 'unusable' RAM is allocated for the Dedicated graphics on your computer, it helps the graphics card to run properly, and also, it doesn't affect the system performance. Rather than having an external graphics chip with its own RAM, the integrated graphics get assigned a block of RAM to use for video RAM.
