Over Charge kills the battery ?

HP Pavilion Ryzen 3550H
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion Ryzen 5 3550H laptop, generally i charge till 50 % but last night i charged it kind of fully charged and i forgot to unplug it. I plugged in in 11.30 pm and I plugged out on 1.20 am and it was showing 99% charge .. does this affect my battery health ?

No there is a chip inside that stops electricity from entering the battery when it hits full charge. You have not caused any damage.
