HP 240 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Good day.

I just want to ask if I can upgrade my processor for HP 240 G4 from i5-5200U to i7 like Intel Core i7-9700K or other fastest processor available. My laptop always crashes especially when I am dealing with more excel files , simulation programs and other heavy (speed demanding)  programs.

Thanks,

Christian

Hi:

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless the motherboard is replaced.

You would only be able to get a motherboard that supports 5th gen core processors like you have now.
