Hi.
I'm looking to replace the AMD Athlon II P360 in my Pavilion g7-1103so with a more powerful CPU. What are the most powerful CPUs compatible with this notebook? The notebook has a DA0R22MB6D1 REV:D motherboard with an S1g4 CPU socket.
Should I stick to the CPU options listed in the notebook's Maintenance and Service Guide (https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02834058.pdf) or is it OK to use other S1g4 socketed CPUs as well?
Regards: ClBlPl

It is not really going to be worthwhile if the candidate upgrade processor, which must from the list in the manual, isn't more than 3-500 Mhz faster than the original processor.
You won't notice any really perceptible difference.
Upgrading to a quad core might help some of your software, but the processor speed really isn't much different.
AMD Phenom II N970 2.20-GHz processor (2.0-MB L2 cache, 1333-MHz, 3.6GT/
sec, quad core, 35 W)
Using other than processors that are in the manual are completely at your own risk.
No responsible person here would feel comfortable with saying they will work
They may or may not be supported by the BIOS.
