You can replace the legacy hard disk with a SATA3 2.5" notebook SSD.
Your notebook's system board may have an M.2 connector that is suitable for a PCIe, NVMe, M.2 SSD.
I would open it to verify that the M.2 slot is present before purchasing an M.2 SSD.
