Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook.
Please help me  understand  if following HP ssd disk is supported by my laptop .
HP SSD S700 M.2 500GB SATA III 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive - 4YH60PA

The series supports BOTH M.2 SATA III and NVMe SSD's. You can use NVMe SSD (more expensive) to get better speed. Crucial P1 or Samsung 970 EVO series othe form other vendors are compatible. If you wish to use HP products, please use

 

     512 GB, PCIe 3x4 part # 823959-001
