Dear sir,
Yesterday we had an update from HP. It was an update for the BIOS progam of my laptop.
Since the update my laptop is extreemly slow. My 10 year old laptop is even faster then this brandnew one.
Is ther a solution for this problem? Laptop scanned for virusses - ok, back to factory settings. It's still slow.
Help please

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand, your notebook is performing slow after BIOS update,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
Have you attempted a system restore?
Did you run a hardware test on the computer using the F2 key during a restart?
Once I have the information, I'll help you further with troubleshooting steps,
Keep me posted,
Cheers 🙂

As I understand you seems to have the issue with the notebook after the recent bios update, don't worry as I have a few other steps which should help you resolve this issue.
Let's attempt to perform a Bios recovery: (restoring BIOS on notebook: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833)
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

It's great to have you back, and your patience is greatly appreciated.
As you have mentioned in your post that the computer is running slow after the recent bios update, In this scenario, I would suggest you could attempt to perform a Bios recovery.
Step 1: Recover the BIOS using a key press combination
Step 2: Download a replacement BIOS file
Step 3: Create a BIOS recovery flash drive

I hope this should do the trick. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.
