Hi

From a while, I have had problems with the battery of my laptop. The problem is that the battery is not charging continuously, It says charging for like 10 seconds, then stop charging for a few seconds, and start the loop again.

The power led of the laptop blinks between charging and charged (orange and white) as well as the windows battery indication, even with the laptop turned off, so I discard a windows issue.

I had the last BIOS update, and I tried to do a battery calibration, but the problem persist.

The laptop AC adaptor seems to be OK, because with the maximum power requirements (such as playing games), the computer works well.

Then, is a battery problem or a charging system problem?

Thanks!

@JAU,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues charging the laptop battery.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the version of BIOS installed on your computer?

Based on your description, it looks like an issue with the charging board. However, I recommend you reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under the device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
