Hi HP community,
My system has grown extremely slow in responsiveness, and I have decided for a RAM and ROM (SSD) upgrade.
Since this is a 2017 model, I am unsure of the available options of SSD and RAM to choose from.
I didn't want to risk buying an incompatible device.
From the HP manual, I could find this.
Solid-state drive:
For use only on computer models with model numbers 15-cc1xx and 15-cc6xx:
● 512-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)
solid-state drive
● 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive.
However, most of them are unavailable for purchase.
Could you please help me choose me a good NVMe SSD and RAM.

I was looking at the best price for performance.
IMHO WD and Crucial are probably better but they cost more.
If ₹₹₹ are no object then go with one of those.
Memory:
According to the parts list for your notebook, it came with 1 x 8 GB of memory, so you can either install an 8 GB chip or a 16 GB chip in the empty slot.
16 + 8 will run in single channel mode and 2 x 8 will run in dual channel mode.
Memory has to be installed in matching capacities for dual channel.
So, installing 2 x 16 GB would be the best option but that's up to you.
The notebook should perform better with 2 x 8 GB of memory than it is now.

If you want a 512GB NVMe SSD, this one should work:

I am planning to choose the Western Digital 500GB Blue SN5000 Nvme SSD.
For the RAM, could you please let me know if I would have to replace the existing 8GB RAM with16GB or is there an additional slot for another 8GB to stack upon.
