Hello, after updating the BIOS to version f.26, the second RAM slot stopped working, that is, we can’t see the chip in the second slot, the BIOS recovery didn’t help, and only 8 GB is displayed in the BIOS itself

Losing half memory is bad. Going from 8 to 4 would be much worse but this should not have happened.

it could be a coincidence or possibly there are slight differences in memory causing the problem.

I do not have your laptop so I am guessing on the following:

Go into the bios setup and see if the Ryzen graphics is enabled.  You should have an NVidia GPU.  If the Ryzen video is enabled it possibly "borrowed" the 8gb of memory as there is no dedicated memory for the Ryzen graphics.  Normally, when a GPU is present, the CPUs video is disabled and there is no need to share memorly.

Thermal expansion and contraction can cause a memory stick to lose contact.  Try reseating both memory sticks.

Please run the following command from the windows command prompt.  It will show the names of the memory devices and possibly there are some differences that caused problems with the new bios.

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, capacity, speed, MemoryType, formfactor, partnumber, manufacturer

for example

I looked at the BIOS release history and did not see anything that indicated a problem with memory.

Except for release F10 and F21  I did not see anything worth the risk of upgrading.
