I want to upgrade the ram of my laptop (HP laptop 15-da0xxx), currently it has i3-7020U, what upgrades can I get

According to the service manual 16gb is maximum memory using a pair of 8gb memory but if the CPU is a Celeron or Pentium then only 8gb using a single stick of memory

Run msinfo to see what CPU you have and how much memory.  You should look at a Youtube video to see how to open the case and make sure there are one or two sockets for memory.
