my notebook is getting very slow. my notebook has only 4GB RAM. now i would like to upgrade this RAM to 16GB. for this i need motherboard information that how much size of RAM i can include, @ which speed(2133mhz is preinstalled. shall i use 2666mhz for upgradation?)should use?

does my notebook has 2 memory slot?

my notebook name: hp pavilion 15au189tx

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

 

2 x 8 GB is supported.

The fastest speed the memory can run at in your model is 2133 MHz, so installing any memory faster than that, will downclock the memory to 2133 MHz.

 

Buy whatever speed memory is cheapest (2133, 2400...).

There is nothing I can think of.

 

Just make sure you are buying memory for a notebook PC and not a desktop PC.

 

This would be a typical DDR4-2133 notebook memory module...
