hello everyone I would like to know if Hp Pavilion g6 1278sl how much ram supports maximum. now it has 4 GB of ram but I would like to increase it to 8 if possible and thanks

hello but the model is not g6-1213 is 1278 sl.

6 is not the max. That would be 4 + 2. Max is always a matched pair; here 4 + 4. Proven many times you can run 8 gigs on these.

Ok, thank you very much!
I have windows 10 installed but the computer is very slow and no rieace to install an update.
I wanted to ask you because on the data sheet of the computer it says that it is compatible only with windows 7 and 8, windows 10 is fine if I reinstall it or it is not compatible for the computer if I increase the ram to 8 gb?

Keep in mind Windows 10 did not yet exist when the laptop was made and the data sheet was written. Windows 10 consumes about the same resources as 7 or 8 so if it can run 7 or 8 it can usually run Windows 10. 

 

I have not had any luck getting the specs of your machine. What is the processor, graphics and hard drive? Some video systems specifically do not have Windows 10 drivers available.

ah, I thought they would update the compatibility from time to time.

intel i5-2430M processor
intel hd graphics 3000
Seagate hard disk ST9500325AS

however now I have windows 10 and it works fine but doesn't install an update I don't understand if the problem concerns compatibility

Is there some specific update it will not install or are no updates installing? The Intel HD3000 video is one of the ones where Windows 10 driver support is sketchy at best.

pc reboots install update but then says update cancellation.
this is annoying to me, every 5 days it does
