Generally that is the right type and speed...DDR3-1333 (same as PC3-10600) will downclock to DDR3-1066 (aka PC3-8500)

Maximum is 8 gigs in a pair of 4 gig modules. Your laptop was delivered with a pair of 2 gig modules.

The problem for you is that the HP laptops with the 1st Gen Intel Core processors (like your i3-330M) are very very finicky about memory. Has to be the same as the specified HP modules:

Memory modules, PC3, 1066-MHz FSB ■ 4096-MB 579156-001

This will work:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-8GB-2x4GB-DDR3-Memory-for-Laptop-/282476580347?hash=item41c4ea8dfb:g...

The big thing is it has to be low density...8 black blocks on the side of the module in 2 rows, not 4 in a single row.

If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.
