I recently bought a HP gaming
Laptop. Is this model upgradeable? I cant find any reviews or videos about this model.
Quick Specs:
I5-8300H
4gb Ram (2666mhz)
1tb (5400rpm)
Gtx1050 2gb GDDR5
1. To slow and it takes 5 mins just to log in Desktop.
2. 55-100% Disk usage all the time. Disabled superfetch and other services.
3. Its just too slow

Hi.
Your PC supports max 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM (2x16GB) even if service manual mentions 16GB
There are two slots and at the moment you have one 4GB module. You should insert at least another 4GB module in the empty slot.
Example:
On page 43 of service manual, you can see the steps to install the RAM
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985643
You should also install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the M2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus of your desired capacity (no limit) which would give an amazing boost to everyday performance.
Hope it helps,
David

Yes, it has one slot and will support M2 SATA3 and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe. (you can get a cheap PCIe drive for the price of an M2 SATA3 drive and it will be much faster.
