Ram upgrade combination

HP ProBook 6550b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i would like to know what are the combinations for RAM for this laptop since i tried using 1 4GB DDR3 in either of the slots it doesnt turn on. when i try using 6GB it reads in the BIOS but it doesnt start up. when u use the stock 4GB 2x4GB in the slots it workss fine. but the 4GB RAM in only slot 1 or slot 2 doesnt start the laptop at all. help me select a combination please.

but i tried 1 4096 RAM in the slots and it didnt work at all, the laptop kept resrarting because of some error

There are only 2 Possiblities. 

1) Incompatible Memory module  or  could be Faulty 

2) Memory slot of the unit could be faulty.

 

Have you tried the same Mem Module on an other PC to determine. ?

Ram upgrade combination

the RAM comes from an Acer laptop, and yes it works fine, in it but not in either 2 of my hp laptops, i have a G72-250US as well and the RAM doesnt work in it as well.
