I have the same problem, and the longer I wait for any assistance, the more problems occur - now the right hinge is also dropping. The screen came out but I pushed it back in.

I was hoping there would be assistance from HP since this appears to be a common problem with the Envy convertible but I guess perhaps I should give up as well. No one has responded to my original post and I am out of the US so places to fix it are few and expensive.  This was a gift - and I doubt I can afford a new computer here.

 

Such a huge disappointment - for a defective item.  It would be really nice to hear from someone from HP

I was never solved - still is not. I thought I was adding my post in the community to someone who was frustrated with the fact they paid for and had their hinge with the same problem fixed and it broke again.

 

I was trying to find out how many times that had happened and what other brand of computer the person who wrote the original post ended up getting.

 

At this time ------- weeks later I am still waiting and my screen and hinges are continuing to crack and deteriorate and I still have no idea what is or may happen.
