HP Recommended

I ordered a customized ZBook Studio x360 on January 9th, with an estimated ship date of January 29th. On January 30th received an email from HP SMB Customer Relations Team that due to "unplanned component constraint", the estimated ship data has slipped to February 27th.

I responded, asking for details of the component(s), in order to assess the credibility of the new estimated ship date. The PCE Escalations Team (based in Boise, ID) responded promptly (today) to advise they are experiencing shortages of the applicable Intel processors (a well-known problem in the industry since 2018) but that the coronavirus is also contributing to a delay in shipments.

I consider the HP communications to-date to be reasonable (save for the late first notice of the slipped ship date).
