ProBook 430 G2 notebook (Energy star)

Hi there, 
My Laptop is ProBook 430 G2 ( Energy star. Product  Number : J8K66PA ) . It got Windows 10 ( 64bit ) installed. 
However the Bios mode is legacy ,  I need to update the BIOS to UEFI Bios to enable 64 bit virtualization from Windows 10 although enabled it from Bios.  
I have found an update at following for my laptop https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-430-g2-notebook-pc/6943802/model/6943806
( Version: 01.49 Rev.A Relased on 15 Aug, 2018) , however, even after updation of Bios it still remains at the legacy Mode. 

Any help will be appreciated regarding what I should do to update the Bios.

Thanks for your post. I too think,  to resolve the issue it's required to disable booting via the legacy Bios at the first plac as mentioned in the following article : https://neosmart.net/wiki/enable-uefi-boot/

and at the following : https://www.petri.com/change-the-disk-partition-from-mbr-to-guid-in-windows-10
I will follow the steps mentioned above once after having everything ready.  Moreover, I got another HDD which got legacy software hence taking sometime  prior to move to UEFI bios and changing MBR to GPT.


Anyway, thank you for the confirmation that I got the latest Bios installed. 

I'll keep you posted once the issue get resolved.

Hi

I dont know.  You have the Latest Bios installed.

 

BIOS Boot One.png

There may be a choice of SECURE / LEGACY boot to select in your BIOS screens.

 

Also the Hard Disk would want to match, SECURE -GPT / LEGACY-MBR  partitioning.
