My Netbook Mini will not retain the time and date when unplugged. I assume there is a battery on the motherboard that needs to be replaced? Could someone tell me how and where to do this, please?

Please see chapter 4 page 53 for the RTC R & R procedures.

 

The replacement part number is listed on the upper right side of the page.

 

You can order from HP at the link below.

Ouch! It isn't cheap.  Maybe you can google the part number and find it cheaper elsewhere.

Thank you for the info - even if I was a bit shocked at the price. I'll search around and see if I can find it cheaper. If not... oh well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do I guess....
