I have a HP Notebook 14an-008an Energy Star and want to replace the hard drive with a SSD, is it possible?

If your notebook still has a factory-installed 500 GB hard drive, you can replace it with a 2.5" SATA SSD which will provide a noticeable performance boost. You can get something like this.
