HP ZBook Studio G5

Hello,
Some time ago the battery in my HP ZBook Studio G5 died. I had to buy a third-party battery but I couldn't get it to work.
When I turn on the computer (with a power supply) I get the error message ‘Primary (internal) Battery (601)’, and the battery is constantly at 0%.
I've tried uninstalling the ‘Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery’, updating the BIOS, disconnecting the battery and then pressing the power button for a minute, but nothing seems to work.
I cannot use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI from bios because the battery is not from HP.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks

I would request a refund from the seller.

Use the HP part number that matches the original battery.

Description                                                                         HP Part number

Battery (4-cell)                                                                  L07046-855

6Cell 95Wh 4.15Ah LI  ZG06095XL-PL                                   L07045-855

Only purchase genuine HP part numbered batteries that have the HP logo on them, not generic battery part numbers. Third-party batteries, as you now know, do not always work as expected.

If you don't see the logo don't use it, unless you accept the risk of it not working as expected. If you don't see the logo don't use it, unless you accept the risk of it not working as expected.

Where can I purchase genuine HP batteries (L07045-855)? On parts.hp.com, there are no more. There is a link to authorised resellers, but they only sell third-party batteries.
