SATA HDD Cable spec for hp 14-dq1033c

Hi - I know there are few threads lurking in the community for the same issue but none of them provide a definitive answer for the cable required. As mentioned by other community members this laptop (14-dq1033c) has SATA-SSD place-holder and I already have an SSD, the only thing missing is the cable - where can I get the cable which will connect a SATA-SSD (not M2)

Upon checking the part is not listed in the maintenance guide which means the product is not tested for the same.

so you are saying that this laptop does not support additional hard drives ?

😤.. As far as I can tell this laptop does not support additional hard drive ! There is an extra metal hinge created on the laptop cover which does not allow you to put extra disk in there.

Although, if you open the laptop you can see there is a proper disk place and socket for disk-cable which can be bought off Amazon but once you put everything in place (disk + cable), you wont be able to close the laptop. so so SAD to see the additional hardDisk option has been disabled on purpose which no one from HP will tell you

That's for the Optical Disc drive, and when you purchase one at the store, it comes with a SATA cable and Molex connector, to connect it to the computer.

Hers is the service guide, refer to chapter 4 page 22 for details.
