SSD (Solid State Drive) Installation
04-03-2021 02:47 PM

I want to upgrade my hp 15 da0352TU laptop with a SSD(Solid State Drive). I want to know what type of ssd is supported by my laptop. Whether it supports SATA SSD or does it support NVMe SSD.
I also want to know whether M.2 connector is available in this model of hp laptop.

Hi:
Since your notebook has an Intel core processor, it has an M.2 slot, and the slot your notebook has supports NVMe drives as well as SATA.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

You said my laptop 15 da0352tu supports both NVMe as well as SATA.
Please tell me whether I can use both my 1 TB HDD (came with the laptop) along with SSD that I want to install at the same time Or I can use only one at a time?
Thanks in Advance.....

You're very welcome.
Chapter 1 of the service manual shows that dual drive (2.5" drive + M.2 SSD) configurations are supported, so you should be able to use the SSD with the 1 TB 2.5" drive
Dual storage Configurations (Intel Core processors):
256 GB, PCIe, solid-state drive + 1 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive
256 GB, SATA-3, TLC, solid-state drive + 1 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive
128 GB, SATA-3, TLC, solid-state drive + 1 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive
You will need to remove Windows from the 2.5" drive or the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first.

Thanks friend, you are great!!!
One thing I want to know is that from where I should go for installing SSD.
Will hp service center provide this facility?
Or any laptop repair shop would do this installation.
Give your suggestions regarding this please.....

You're very welcome.
If you don't want to do the work yourself, I recommend finding a reputable computer repair shop to have the work done.
HP would charge you a fortune if you wanted them to do it.
