Hi All,
I'm looking to upgrade my HP Notebook :15-bs580tx due to very slow performance.
I'm looking to add SSD but I'm not very sure which options are supported by this model and which SSD will be best to use.
As per my internet search, NVMe, M.2 SATA , 3D NAND SATA 2.5 inch SSD , etc were some of options available.
Kindly advise me which ones are supported and which will be best to use.
Thanks in advance.

Hi:
Your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.
HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide
So, you have two options.
You can install a M.2 SATA SSD and use the 2.5" drive for storage (or remove the 2.5" drive and just use the M.2 SSD).
You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
There would be no difference in performance between a 2.5" SATA SSD and aM.2 SATA SSD.
A recommended M.2 SATA SSD would be the Western Digital Blue SA510 M.2 SATA model series.
Recommended 2.5" SSD's would be the Western Digital Blue SA510 2.5" SATA model series or the Crucial MX500 2.5" model series.
