i am trying to upgrade the drive on my laptop to SSD M2 type. From the manual I found that it should support M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF), SATA-3.. Hence, I order Crucial P2 500GB PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (link at the bottom). But the ssd is not fitting in the Slot. What kind of M2 SSD does this laptop support, any clues or suggestions with specific model (only 128 and 256 gb are compatible as per HW Specification)

Well you just said it, the manual says m2 SATA but you ordered m2 NVME. slot is almost the same but the interfaces are different. Return the NVME and get an m2 SATA drive. And the drive sizes listed in the manual are what shipped with that version. You can safely go up to 2GB if you wish.
