I bought this computer only 5 days ago. It has 2 SSD: the operation system is installed at 256G disk (drive letter C), and the other disk is 512G (drive letter D).
The 512G disk frequently disappears, and when it disappears, I cannot find it on Windows "My Computer" page, system disk management, or CrystalDiskInfo software, and cannot visit any files on the disk. It can happen at any time. Sometimes it disappears after a reboot, and sometimes it's dropped even when I'm reading or writing files on the disk. For example, when I'm playing a music file, the music just stops and the software doesn't have responses, then the disk just disappears. Or when I'm downloading a file to that disk, and the browser says the file writing is interrupted, then the disk disappears.
To tackle this issue, I have tried to use CrystalDiskInfo software to detect the health status of the issued disk. See the attachment. Everything seems normal, but "Power On Count" seems extremely high. Does it mean the hardware has problems or has a higher probability to break down?
If the hardware has problems, I have to return and replace this computer.
Some other useful information:
1. The computer pre-installed HP power management software, which uses an optimized energy-saving battery plan.
2. Many drivers and the BIOS driver is old, and the system is 21H2. So, I install the driver updates and cumulative system updates via Windows Update.
