HP Pavilion Notebook - 17t-g100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to replace my existing hard drive with a Samsung solid state drive, such as the Samsung 860 EVO 2TB MZ-76E2T0B/AM or Samsung 870 QVO 2TB MZ-77Q2T0B/AM.

Has anyone done this before or see any issues with using these drives.  Thanks.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to install an SSD on your computer, and you want to know whether it is compatible with your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

You can go ahead and install an SSD on the computer, and it should work fine. However, an SSD is not tested on the computer by HP and there is no M.2 slot available on your computer. So, you need to install a SATA SSD.

Below is the service guide for your reference.
