Hi

I have used ADATA SP580 120GB SSD with DVD caddy and installed it in notebook , I have used the OEM acronis true image

cloing software to clone C drive with 500MB recovery drive to SSD . After reboot I getting error like Operating system not found.

When I enter F9 boot option selection menu and select the Internal HDD as a boot device , then it boots to Windows 10 as usual but unable to boot from the SSD.

I believe there is no problem with SSD or SATA ,

I am using legacy BIOS , not UEFI

I tried clean install as well , while it is getting error unable to create partition the windows installation could not able to continue , even after multiple times I formatted the partition or cleared the partition .

Not only acronis , I have used aomei partition assistant free version as well , that also not worked for me.

Could anyone help me on this

Hello @hplap007

The SSD needs to be swapped with the HDD so it is in installed on the main SATA port.

Then use the HDD in the caddy for storage.

Oh..Not tried on this point and seems valid one.  Will that void any warranty ? I am in 2 year  addional warranty ,

The SSD wont be warrantied. You will want to keep the HDD in tact though just in case.
