Product: Pavilion 14-bk063na

Hi there,

I recently purchased a Western Digital 2.5” SATA SSD, I’ve cloned the existing hard drive but I’m unsure how to install, it looks to me that I’m going to need a replacement ribbon cable but I can’t find any help online at all.

Hi:

 

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with a 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive.

 

HP Pavilion - 14-bk063na Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

If you purchased a 2.5" SSD, then you remove the 2.5" mechanical hard drive and install the 2.5" SSD.

 

You use the existing parts from the hard drive to mount and connect the SSD.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

check the service manual as given by paul  along with some youtube videos related to ur laptop, 

replace the hdd with ur ssd and boot.

u are ready to go.

also will recommend to u add  1 more 4 gb ddr4 2666 ram for best performances.
