Hey folks. I'm Trying to help someone out by replacing a cracked LCD. Any idea where I can get a part and directions on how to do this?

It's a touchscreen so the first thing to try to figure out is what is broken. It has a regular LED screen panel and then a glass overlay for the touch feature. You can just replace the whole screen assembly but that is expensive and overkill if all you need is the digitizer and glass or just the LED panel.
What does it look like and what are the symptoms?
This is the part:
13.3-in, FHD, WLED, BrightView (1920×1080), UWVA, 2.55-mm in natural silver finish for use only on computers with model numbers 13-4100 through 13-4199 and equipped with an Intel Core i-7 6550U, Intel Core i-7 6500U, or Intel Core i-5 6200U processor 828822-001
This is the manual:
This part is $800+ from HP:
HP only wants to sell it as a complete unit but we can break it down and find just the parts you need from other vendors at much lower cost.
Post back with any more questions.

First off, Thank you much for the quick response, I really appreciate it! That's very kind of you.
I'm afraid she did an excellent job on this, the system was dropped you see.... the glass overlay is cracked, as is the LCD beneath it I'm afraid. The unit does in fact have a touch screen.
