HP ENVY x360 - 15-cn0001ne
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone.

I have recently bought a used HP x360 Convertible - Model 15-cn0001ne with [Personal Information Removed] and I have a problem with the right hinge. More specifically, as you can see in the attached pictures, the hinge appears to not open properly an is somewhat dragging along as I am opening it. I found the manual but it doesn't appear to have a part number for the screen hinges but only for the actual screen. I was wondering if there is a way to see if there is an easy fix for that or if can someone direct me towards finding and purchasing the hinges, please?

Thank you very much for your time.

It's not an easy fix. The laptop must be disassembled to evaluate damage.

Service Manual

In this case HP only offers an entire screen assembly as a replacement part. Odds are the hinges can be found on a third party website, but first the display must be removed and you need to examine the places where the hinges are bolted to the top cover of the laptop. See p. 53-54 of the manual. If the mounting points for the screws are intact, then you can proceed to replace just the hinges.
