Second broken hinge on HP Envy

HP ENVY M6-N012DX

I know it's a shot in the dark, but I'm hoping someone can offer me some help. I've had my HP Envy for about 2 years and I've always been very careful with it, but last year one the hinges started to pop out. I was still under warranty and was able to have it fixed for free and everything was great. Now, just over a year later, the same hinge has broken again. I don't have the money to fix it and it's at the point where I can't open the laptop because the hinge caused the bottom of the computer to separate. This seems to be a really common problem with the HP Envy and it seems like HP should have some way to fix this (for less than the $350 I was quoted at my local store). Anybody?

Second broken hinge on HP Envy

I am in a similar situation. I bought my laptop at the beginning of my college career in 2014 (same model as yours) and the hinge broke when it was out of warranty the next year. I paid $226 to get it repaired through HP and now I am having the same problem MANY HP costumers are having!!! What's even more scary is the broken pieces that have come off and hit the internal fan. I am coming up on my last semester of college and can not afford to get this part fixed again. If this is a common problem with this model, why has HP not had a recall and attempted to fix the problem? I paid around $800 when the model first came out plus the additional $226, that's an investment of over $1,000 on a product that is having the same problem over and over again. PLEASE HP FIND A SOLUTION.
