Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded my wife's HP Laptop, model 15-f100dx  from a 1 TB  SATA driver to a 1 TB SSD drive  and when putting it all back together the keyboard SHIFT  keys will not work.  I bought a new replacement keyboard and that one has the same issue with the SHIFT key not working.  I understand the SHIFT key is a modifier key.  Somehow I am am suspecting the motherboard connector to the keyboard ribbon.

Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?

Right now she is using a Bluetooth wireless keyboard which is a pain to lug around.
