Spectre x360 14 i5 2019
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Honestly really **Bleep**off.

Bought my daughter the spectre for Xmas last year, her only present as it was expensive but she loved it, it is her pride and joy. Suddenly it shuts down whilst she is doing homework and won't turn back on. Taken it to a specialist who has confirmed faulty motherboard.

The laptop is just 15 months old so you don't expect this from what is essentially a "premium" product. Having now done my research this is clearly a common problem on these units and essentially a manufacturing fault that hp is ignoring.

I spoke to hp technical support and the guy acknowledged this a common problem but because hp themselves do not acknowledge it, his hands are essentially tied and the only course of action is for me to pay around £500 for a repair. What an absolute joke and shambles of a company. I down right refuse to pay for a fault that is caused by the company who make the product. I have every intention of taking this to trading standards, the consumer watchdog, or whoever else will do something to get hp to admit fault and sort this out. FUMING

Hi @Badspectre1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
