HP Recommended
Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It is constantly hot even without CPU load! Absolutely new and was as such from the first day.

HP, what's wrong with my £2000+ box??

I did not ask for a toaster!!

@BT_with_Spectre

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is overheating.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • What is the product number of your computer?
  • Are you getting any error or overheating the message on the computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hello The_Fossette - thank you for your response.

There is a case # 5052734449 opened - you can see the model and serial number. My HP assistance does not show any new drivers/bios to be installed. and I followed all the procedures as per the case above.

There are no errors, but the laptop hard to keep on the laps or in hands - it is very hot.

So, what's now?

thanks for your help.

Boris

I do not have access to the case number you have shared. However, I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer.

Regards!

Have you updated the BIOS on the computer? If yes, what is the version of the BIOS installed on the computer?

Cheers!
