Add me to this list, had my Spectre just over 2 years,  experiencing the same symptoms.

 

Been dealing with Hp Support over the phone. It has not been a pleasant experience so far, quite dissapointed from such a large organization.

 

Fortunately as i live in New Zealand our Consumer Gurantees Act covers me for this fault as just over 2 years for a laptop that cost $2400 NZD is ridiculous and thats definitely less then the expected timeframe this type of machine should last.

 

Its been a nightmare dealing with the support, speaking to different people on many occasions explaing the same thing over and over again, on top of that some have incorrectly written down notes.

 

In all honesty the laptop was fantastic but its not worth all this hassle and time consuming effort, better stick with another company. My wifes laptop had a fault outside of warranty, this was with apple. It took less then 2 weeks and it was all sorted. Mines been going on for the better part of a month and still to no avail.

 

Thanks to those that have posted on the forum about this issue, otherwise i would not have known about this design flaw.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
