Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i wanna know if my laptop hp 15 bs542tu supports m2 SSD or not. It's nowhere mentioned in official manual. 

If yes , Which m2 SSD i can buy?

Hi:

 

Yes, that is the M.2 slot, and as I stated before, the slot can only take a SATA SSD, not NVMe

 

All the M.2 slots look the same.  Just one key.

 

Even if the slot supported a NVMe drive, you would have to reinstall Windows again.

 

You want the operating system on the SSD, or you are wasting your money on using a SSD for storage.

Hi:

 

Your notebook's M.2 slot can support SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

On my motherboard i can see a slot m.2 written next to it (below the hard disk). What's it? It looks like it is for nvme. If i go with sata I'd have to install windows again.
