You're very welcome.
There is an option in the support assistant to just notify you of driver updates and not automatically install them.
You also have the option to select any driver update that is showing up and delete it from the list and it won't show up anymore.
I have done that with wifi driver and BIOS updates.
I would never let the support assistant update my BIOS.

Unfortunately, that I do not know.
If you tried to install it and it did not work, I would forget about it.
Not worth bricking your notebook especially since the BIOS update does nothing important--Provides improved security, whatever that means.
