Long Drive Self - Test - Storage 1: WDC WD10JPVX-60JC3TO
Does this means the hard drive is required to be replaced or are there other means for repair. Such as software to fix the issue.

Hello @Cole52 It helps us if you can also post the full model or Product number of the PC so we know what you have exactly.
The error checksum failed rather than say it completed successfully (Index was outside the bounds of the array). Something was causing it to not even complete. What happened that you had to run a diagnostic on it?
My rule of thumb: any kind of failure and I don't risk the chance of it crashing and wiping my data soon. I would replace it.

OK thanks. You model number is HP Pavilion 15-ab277cl.
Page 49-50 shows how to access the hard drive for replacement.
