I have a HP Notebook 15 laptop and for some circumstances i will have to store my laptop and keep it unused for about 6 months. So, what is the recommended method to keep the laptop and the battery healthy during the storage period? How can i avoid the negative effects that may happen to the laptop due to storing the laptop for such long time?
Thank you in advance

Remove the battery, otherwise, regardless of what you do, it will be DEAD when you restart the PC, and with that, you might not be able to get it to work even on the charger.

I do this with my laptop anytime I need to store it for more than a week -- and have run into no problems doing this.

Thank you for your reply.

Do you think that it's a good idea to store the battery in a cold place like a fridge for example?
