Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently purchased an HP Elitedesk Mini 800 G8.  It currently has a Displayport Flex IO option card in the rear that works well, and I would like to change it out with either:

(1) the HP Type-C USB 3.1 Gen2 Port with 100W PD Flex IO v2 (Part number: 13L60AA) or

(2) the HP Thunderbolt 3.0 Flex IO v2 (Part number: 1E8A4AA).

My order for the Type-C USB port with 100W PD card arrived today, but when I install it in, the machine doesn't turn on.  When i put the Displayport card back in, the machine starts to work again.  Is it possible something is wrong with the card or is 13L60AA not supported by the 800 G8 DM?

I also have the Thunderbolt part arriving in the next few weeks but wanted to confirm support for this part.  There are Thunderbolt drivers on the HP downloads section for the 800 G8 and it also shows in the BIOS as a selectable option.  Can some please help confirm this part works (or if I should cancel my order and save the time/effort)?

I'm hoping to upgrade my DM 800 G4 which currently has Thunderbolt 3 with this newer configuration.

I've been using the pdf file to determine the parts.  https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c06712909

Thanks in advance.
