Looks like this is a common problem. I had to replace the cooling fan but noticed that the back of the laptop was deformed and I found the battery had swollen. Quite obviously this is a manufacturing defect. How do I get a replacement? The website says about having to buy a battery, as the machine is no longer under the warranty. But surely a fault that is so common and stops the use of the laptop should be covered under the Consumer protection act?
