I created the restore drive, with the windows system files, on a 64GB SD chip and on a USB key. I then replaced the 128GB drive with a 500GB drive.
Whewn I tried to retore the system from the USB key the restore crashed at 7%. There was no error code. The message simply said to "Reset the PC" and "Uable to restore the system". When I tried to restore from the SD chip it got to 11% - then the same crash.
Npte the drives in this laptop are the M.2 cards - not the 2.5" drives. When I ran drive diagnostics from firmware the 500GB drive tested good.
With no error code I have no way to start troubleshooting. I did a diagnostic on the SD chip and it tested good.
Any ideas from anyone?
Thanks
Tony

If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10.
