Hi @Fn_fncs997

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing that—when your HP 15s-fq3008nl won’t charge after the battery hits 0%, it can feel like the laptop is completely unresponsive. Let’s walk through a few steps that can help revive it:

1. Check Charger and Power Source

  • Ensure the charger is securely plugged into the laptop and the power outlet.
  • Try using a different power outlet or another compatible charger to rule out issues with the power source.

2. Inspect the Charging Port

  • Carefully inspect the laptop’s charging port for any debris or damage.
  • Make sure the port isn’t loose or broken.

3. Perform Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the charger from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop.

4. Check Battery Status

  • If the laptop powers on, go to the BIOS settings to check battery status:
    • Turn on the laptop and repeatedly press the F10 key until the BIOS screen appears.
    • Navigate to the battery options to see if the battery is detected and its status.

5. Update or Reinstall Battery Drivers

  • Ensure that battery drivers are up to date:
    • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Batteries section.
    • Right-click each battery option and select Update driver.
    • To reinstall, right-click the battery driver and select Uninstall device, then restart the laptop.

6. Check Power Settings

  • In Windows, open Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options.
  • Ensure power settings are not preventing battery charging.

7. Test with Battery Removed (if possible)

  • If your model allows, remove the battery:
    • Disconnect the charger.
    • Remove the battery.
    • Connect the charger and try to turn on the laptop.
  • If the laptop turns on without the battery, it might be a problem with the battery.
